So I have a profound interest in auto photography, and quite alot off $$$ in the camera equipment i have, especially for an amateur. Here's a variety of four shots i've taken over the past year, let me know what you guys think of them...Some of them I consider good, but most i consider okay....

            #1 & #4 are good.

What kind of camera do you have? What kind of lenses?
Car pictures are very easy to take. All you need is the proper background and a few good angles. Some people just cannot comprehend this though

                #2 seems very pixelated.
Is that on purpose or is it because of the compression (resizing) of the photo?

Thanks, not trying to make any money off of them, just thought you guys might get a kick out of them, haven't really gotten a chance to shoot anyone's cars this year yet, I wanna take mine out again and get some better shots of it. When I make money at photography, it's usually at weddings, :naughty: and I have a couple other cool shots that people occasionally buy prints of from me.:D If anyone wants to see any of my stuff that isn't auto related, just holla and i'll post up.

yeah, auto's are easy, but it's hard to find the backgrounds around town sometimes, and it takes quite a few takes to get the right shots. On picture #4, I parked the car, took about 40 shots, and only liked 2 of them.

I currently have a Pentax istDL Digital SLR, 6.2 megapixels with a pentax 18-55 autofocus lense, a quantaray 80-200 macro lense (manual focus), and a 500-1000 autofocus lense that i use for sports photography. I also have a Pentax K-1000 Film SLR, manual focus only, and a full darkroom capable of black and white and C-41 processing. I use Adobe Photoshop CS2, or Jasc (now Corel) Paint Shop Pro 8 for Digital editing. I also shoot with a variety of filters, but usually just UV or Polarizing.

Yes, the picture got pixelized during compression for Web-use. I shoot in RAW format, and unfortunetly alot of quality is lost when you resize and compress those files.

And as for those pics of the Vette', they're great high speed photographs. Unfortunetly we all don't have the opportunity to shoot while we're doing 70+ mph, even though those moving shots were probably done at around 20.
