dont buy a car off ebay....unless you can physcially go look at it before you bid...thats just asking for trouble...I've gone to dealerships to look at vehicles...and had dealers lie to my face saying the vehicle hadnt been in an accident when I can tell it had...and Im not talking about micky mouse dealerships, Im talking about the Chevy dealership themselves....They can say anything they want on the internet, and pictures can lie...pics of my car dont reveal the front stone flexs that plague my front bumper....

And if it isn't as stated, you walk away. A few rockchips wouldn't dissuade me, but a complete repainting that wasn't disclosed would. Item not as described.

In Florida, Id say nothing less than $15K but the transmission dieing Id say $13K and it would take some time to sell.

If it had a good tranny Maybe $10k.


Local guy just got a 00 z28 6-speed with like 65k for $7500, I admit its a deal but not outragous, ls1s are dropping in value... finally.



but I would think twice... bad 460Le or T56 at 50k miles in a "garage kept"(aren't they all) car, throws up red flags.


Reason why it throws up Red flags, I eventually broke my first t5 around 50k miles. Now compare how strong a 460Le and a T56 are compared to a ****ty *** T5.



Took ~600 passes at the track, 4k track launches, powershifting/grinding to do it. 2-3 road races, Dozen or so autocrosses.



So what kind of fun do you think the car you are looking at has been through?

wel, for one, poping out of reverse doesnt sound like a transmission problem to me, the shift forks are known to be cheap and soft

next thing is im pretty sure the t56 is known for having a bad 3rd gear syncro.

also, i know this guy, in the past 3 years he has only driven the car just a few times. I am unable to find ones in my area for this price

my t-56 has 160k on it...no problems....stayin in gear and guess what third is still there (shocking)...my buddy has 180k on his and hes got a stock t-56 behind his 396 lt1 and hasnt broke anythin....so u think about ur poppin out of gear problem again...ask any1 here how nice i am to my trannies
