The problem with anything like that is that the heartbeat is not a constant. Anything from nicotine to caffiene to a pretty girl(Or guy, in you case Kristen!), will change the rate and rhythem.

We actually already have them, use them all the time in the medical field. They're laser based, and they're inaccurate as hell. I've had them tell me a person's got a pulse rate of 100+, and I check with my fingers and it's 62.

and this is a sensor that is int he car that will tell you if there is heartbeat in the car. and it shows up on your little keyring keypad.

Does the car not have a security system?

Can you not look into the back of the car before you open the door?

why not just put a motion sensor in the car so the alarm will sound if it detects movement?

The only reason that COULD be useful, is if it was some old person driving, and if they had a heart attack or something, the car could stop its self.

in the comm. i saw. i showed a lady walking across the parking lot. she looked at the key pad and saw that there was heart beat in the car when there should have been nothing. so she turn and walked the other way

yea its pretty dumb...even the volvo sales guy said that when my mom went to look at one...plus the keychain takes like 5-10 seconds to read if there is one...and then its a series of flashes not even beeps...so you better be looking at the keychain....just look in the back before you get in...how many ppl are waiting for you to get in the car?

Hmmm. Reading the article and the comments here, sounds like it's some form of microphone based? Which then makes me wonder, what happens when someone with subs parks beside you and waits?
