I consider myself Republican, and I bet I deal with assloads more more issues with english being the main language then about 90% of this board.

But I still feel that there should be no official language.... but I don't feel that we should do anything above and beyond english to help people.

Its not racism...

It is the fact, that this country is joined on the principle that its a melting pot. People refusing to learn English(AND YES THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT REFUSE TO LEARN ENGLISH IN THIS COUNTRY), is not a melting pot... That is the same as mixing oil and water, they are seperate and do not mix. Thus making it counterproductive.

yea when i was in school they were phasing out of using that analogy
