  • Just stopped by to say hi.

Was prowling around on here earlier, for some info on the 1995 obdI/obdII confusion, for somebody with a '95 Cavalier on a local board.

Realized I hadn't been on here in a while. ("last visited" says some time in 2006, but I can't believe I went all of 2007 without stopping in...)

Anyway, just poking around a little. Just got my v8 swap + turbo back on the road a couple of months ago. I blew the used swap engine first time out with the turbo, and the car was down for a long time after that. Put a forged shortblock in it this time around, with dished pistons to bring the compression down a little. Currently doing a little tuning on it here and there, getting the VE dialed in, etc. It's around 10.5:1 (afr not compression), still keeping it conservative as I try more rpm and map ranges. Running 8 psi for now. No other numbers yet though.

Every time I look at my Powerdyne I see that John_D wrap.

What was your best time with the PD?

Good to see you again and good luck with your project.

Oops, yep, should of put in the lounge, sorry about that. :)

13.6 on the blower, 13.2 on the spray.

If I could have gotten the car tuned to run richer on the blower I'm sure it would have been better. Tuning was the big obstacle at that time.
