  • Woo-Hoo

Winter Break has finally began. Talked to my dad today, and there's a 95% chance that my build will be finished before school starts back! Woo-Hoo! My "calculations" on Dyno2003/Drag2003 say I should be putting out around 282FWHP, and running 13.4's no problem :D Add in some experience, weight savings, and 75-100shot and I can hear the 11's calling my name :D

GT2, P&P heads, UIM, LIM, TB, 130# springs & retainers, double roller timing chain, injectors, short shifter, and top it all off with a DynoTune. Also putting in a new oil pan, all new gaskets, and new plugs (TR6's). Then, my next mod will be new shocks, and hopefully some longtubes :D

whew, 11's thats a pretty bold prediction.

And those hp predictions seem really really high. Im guessing more like 240 rwhp., unless you have a gtp....what do you have again?

Fly wheel horse power, not rear wheel. I should only have like 230ish to the wheels. Add a 100 shot to that, and I'm running more power than the usual LT1, and most of them were pulling mid 12's last I checked. Then add in abit of driver experience, and some weight savings (hoping to reach ~3300 w/me in it) and I think I can pull a 11.99 out of my rear. If it holds up that is :p

Hell, if I reach 12's on spray I'd be happy, 11's would make me wet my pants.

I think that 11 might be a little hopeful, but we'll see how it goes! Good luck!

I like to dream big. Like I said, I'll be happy with 12's on spray

                    12's should be reachable and
With spray you should/will be there tho, i do agree with that.

3.73 gears. I just replaced this clutch with a Precision OEM clutch. Supposedly exceeds OEM, but we'll see if it holds (I doubt it). Worst comes to worst, I'll have to put another clutch in it. That'll just give me a reason to do the drill mod :p

Well, being the holiday season, my dad's been taking all the sidejobs he can in order to keep the cash flow constant. And, he completely forgot about my car and has lined up jobs all through my break :(. He says he can probably get out of his job this Sat, and we can disassemble it. Then, weekend after Xmas we can put it all back together. Thing is, He doesn't think I'll have time to P&P everything, so it may just be a cam, springs, and gasket swap :(. Either way, I can't wait to get it done. Car's gonna sound B/A with it :) I've actually fallen out of the racing scene abit, so it's not as important, but still fun and kewl to have :D
