  • Graduating, and no desire to study.....

So yeah.... YAY ME! I'm graduating this semester with my B.S. Mechanical Engineering Technology, and a Manufacturing Specialist Certificate, and I already have my A.S. in Mechanical and my A.S. in Drafting and Design. I've already passed all the required classes for my B.S. in Mechanical, just have 2 finals left in classes that I don't even need for graduation. I've got B's in both classes. I'm finding it pretty hard to study for either of them right now.

So.... guys, should I keep studying and go out with a bang, doing my best in everything? Or should I just not give a crap about those last 2 classes, and relax? I've worked hard this long.

I'd say go for it if you plan on going to grad school or anything in the future.

Yeah, I've considered grad school a few times. Might go for a Masters in Engineering Management or something. Still don't know, I'm just so tired of school and want to get to the real world. I actually liked working 50 hours a week better than this.

            Wow, great job, man!

I wouldn't go all out, but at least try to pass them for the previously mentioned reasons. Good luck with that, and congratulations so far!!

              congrats!

I felt exactly the same way last spring when I had a few exams left before I graduated with a BA. I'd say study hard, as you've only get a few days left and you've come this far. Then again, I got into a top grad school with a few Bs on my transcript.

I'd say talk to profs and try and boost those D's to high C's or even low B's. Where I did my undergrad we had our entire degree to contest our grades with profs. You'd be surprised at how much you can blame on bad TA grading skills.

The D's are on there to stay. One was Chem 2, one was Physics 2, and one was a calc class; and Friday is my last day.

well just because you finish on friday doesn't mean you graduate on friday. They don't consider you as graduated until the convocation ceremony. Anyway...good luck with the exams!

I've got no exams, just one 30 page paper, one 20 page paper and one 6 page paper to complete by the 20th!

Re: Graduating, and no desire to study.....

Grades must be in Monday by 12:00pm. Most of those D's were over 2 years ago. They're not this semester. Thanks for the wishes, good luck with your papers, that's alot of work, but I'm sure you'll pull through.
