    Re: drifting?

I cant see the video Via im at work, But if he is taking corners in quick succesion getting real close to walls and falling off the road then yes. If hes just taking off and sliding sideways to a stop then no. But HAndbrake slides are a Huge part of drifting.

No that isn't drifting, but yes it is retarded.

If I were the person on that corner when he did the 360 I would have beat the **** out of the guy with the camera till his buddy in the car came back.

        Re: drifting?

i know handbrake slides start the drift (there's actually a few ways to do it) but just cause you hold the hb through the turn doesn't mean your drifting. drifting is when you power your backend through a turn right?

          Re: drifting?

I'm sorry but you can't drift with front wheel drive. In fact there's not much you CAN do with a fwd.

A drift means your power wheels have lost traction but you are still controlling the direction and speed. Supposedly those are your rear wheels as you'd better have traction with the front wheels given you need them to steer.

You could slide, but that's not really drifting.

And as said already - this just looks stupid and retarded. When I see those wanna bes with 1.4 engines and 50" exhausts where you can hide small bear - i always wonder should i laugh or should i cry. I usually laugh to tears :)

No, not really. It can, however, be considered stupid.

                          Re: drifting?

from my LIMITED knowledge of drifting.. to drift a FF car its either e-brake or Feint... as you can see before they do the 180 and 360 they have to do a slight opposite turn... to transfer weight... when they use ebrake then steer, the rear would just whip out a little bit... or asswhip...

Horsepower is how fast you hit the Minivan... Torque is how far you take the Minivan with you... :wavey:
