So I have a day and a half to resurrect the maro

After punching a hole in the Cobra's heat exchanger today, I now have 1.5 days to do a motor and trans swap on the camaro.

lets review what I dont have:

engine hoist : buying in a few hours
Upper Intake Gasket : waiting at AZ
Lower Intake Gasket :@ AZ
Header Gaskets : on order for tomorrow afternoon
TB Gasket : @ autozone

the bolts for everything are in a box on top of my tool chest (i hope) if not, then I am missing a **** load of bolts too. Anyone think I can get it done? Torn this thing apart like 7 times to the bare block. Im betting theres a chance im done tomorrow night.

I have coils, wires, egr, I dont think i am missing anything, hope not.

something will happen, I'm sure... you'll get most of it done and then lose the keys or bolts :)

Wow... good luck. I know I can do a Jeep 4.0L in 1.5 days if I have a long block... but camaro.... never tried it :)

ive done a 3.8 in a few hours. its not so bad if you have an extra set of hands helping you around too.

i can tear down rebuild one in hrs. but when it comes to full swaps motor and trans ive ony done that twice, well, we'll see

with the hoise, i think youl be able to do it... wiht a few sets of hands that is.. isn't your engine tore down to the short block already?

and why not jsut fix the heat exchanger in the rustang? wouldnt that be easier/cheaper??

exchanger is damaged on the fins, cant fix it. had to order a new one, plus it goes into storage in a week anyways.

and yep, its down to the shortblock already, so i can pull it right out.

parking bump, not even hard, just nudged it, but enough to back the H/E into the tranny cooler and poke a hole in it.

Wow, I didn't know it was that far down, then again, I have seen it. It won't be too bad. Depending on how much you get done before I get there, We won't have a problem getting it back together. Some stupid little **** will come up.
