Note to Self: modem plug no good for laptop..

So i found an old laptop in the closet and i was hoping to get it working and use it as a tuning laptop.. its an inspiron 7000 with windows 98...

so im looking for plugs to try to fit in.. modem plug fits.. plug into socket.. modem plug blows up(not really).. basically i burned something inside lol

so i go to radioshack to get a new one.. no good they only sell 12v.. (need 10.5)

go to comp usa.. he gives me a plug that can switch voltages... no 10.5.. 9-12... he says its ok.. laptop plugs use 70v.. laptops use 60... so im now sitting at home w/ my 12v plug, plugged into a 10.5v modem...

Screw you radioshack :P
