This is my friends truck, turbo diesel...
He says stock it will do 12sec. 1/4 mile
He also says that with a programmer, 4" exhaust and intake it will do:
9 second 1/4 mile
I tried to argue it, but it wasnt worth the waste of breath

I know diesels are fast, and have a ton of potential , but its a 4x4 3/4 ton truck

Don't those big super duties weigh near 8,000 lbs?
Sure they are fast for there weight but no way in hell near that fast...

My friend has a 2000 ford turbo diesel with a programmer, exhaust, bigger injectors, and an intake and it runs a mid-low 14 at around 95mph.Comment

My bud has a diesel 4door just like that. He has alot of work into his. once the work was done, he kept breaking transmissions. He finally found a compnay that built one that would hold up. His truck does mid 13's. Now, to see him at the track with that beast doing burn outs then turn a 13 sec time sheet is pretty insane.
There is no way this guys truck does 12's in the 1/4 mile. Tell him to stop bench racing!Eric

I know, i know and no, he's not talking about just the motor...
he thinks cuz it will do donuts on dry pavement that the truck will run 12's the way it is....
