Creature in the night

So I took my 10 lb jack russell out to use the bathroom and I noticed next to the dumpster sits a huge *** shadow. I wasn't sure what it was but it jetted up the tree. My dog started to chase it and the closer my dog got, the more I noticed that it was double her size. Turned out to be a raccoon but the crazy thing is that I live in a large city and didn't expect to see anything like this. My jack russell chased it up the tree and I tried to take a few pics. I don't think the pics turned out well but I'll post them anyways... this thing was a monster in size.

I've seen em when we lived in the country... but I live in the city and I guess I'm just surprised to see one that big especially at an apartment complex right in the middle of lexington.

always gettin in our trash, always when it's windy out so it blows all over the place

at least it's a coon and not a coyote

we have them all over the place here..

i remember we had to shoot one when i was younger. the damn thing took 4 shots from a 12 gauge before it finnally fell over and died.

Well since I was at my apartment, I just ran up and grabbed the camera. Before I got the camera... it wa sonly about 6 feet up the tree.

I was waiting for it to leap out of the tree and land right on my face. Then I pictured me with scratches all over my face and arms... then I decided I should leave him alone :D
