I just ran 15.5 (just one run ever) with a bald tires, full weight, hot temp, 92k miles on odo 2 months ago. 15s is NOT fast but it's fast enough for me. It is kinda weird that his car ran 17.3 ...hmmmm

by the way i do have a z28

but on to the 3.8, it just feels like something is plugged.

i just did plugs and wires, fuel filter, cleaned throttle body, pvc, air filter,
yes i did it myself so i know it was done right and yes the plugs took 7 hours lol.

as mentioned before, check the cat. My 99GP does 15.5's consisstantly, and my 94 comero now does 16.4/5s.

                Re: 3.8 is slow

i'll put money that its the cat. that or you have some serious tuning to do. maybe a knock sensor is on the fritz and is causing unnessary retard.

one note tho... this should've probably been in Gen Tech... not the lounge

What is it with the stock cat going out? I had to have mine replaced before it hit 70k. Now it's gone bad again...this time there's no warranty. Oh well. I guess this is a good time to replace the exhaust with the catback and high-flow cat I was looking at. There. It's on order. Heh

jeeze. are you stock? what year?

I thought my cat went out at about 120K, turns out it was just the heatsheild, but i ditched it anyway. At least now I don't have to worry about my cat ever going out.

I gutted mine, and run faster/better then my car has ever ran. Well except for a hiccup.
