Smart man, went with the smaller snake. You shouldn't have any trouble feeding him. Not sure about the green carpeting though. I would think that might be a little abrasive for him, I have always just used newspaper, ahank can chime in he knows better than me. The first ball python I bought didn't eat for 15 months, the juvenile baby girl I got was hungry within a couple days. Here's a pic of her.

****ty pics I know, I'm poor and got nothing more than a phone.

I've had a ball python for years now. Good snake, he's a badass. Sometimes he doesn't eat during the winter months though

Its actually a felt like liner. Its not that astroturf stuff, thats more abrasive. This stuff is really soft, and is cleanable so I bought 2 precut ones so I can just swap them when they need cleaned.

I would still keep an eye on his belly to make sure its not to rough on him. They are really good snakes and should grow to a decent size! And the only reason I get worried about the under tank heaters is because i saw a guy realy mess up his snake from one and had to have i treated for over a month so just becareful. Ball pythons the next snake I will get so keep me updated on how it goes.
