  • Lambo doors?

I was just wondering. Would adding vertical doors add of decrease the value of our cars. I am thinking about doing it on my 96 Camaro. I dont think it looks too bad and i know its a matter of personal taste but would it be worth it in terms of the value of the car.

    Re: Lambo doors?

it all depends... anything added to a car will technically decrease its value. People who put 20k into a 10k car usually get lucky to sale it for 10-15k

Vertical doors will only increase the value if you find a buyer who loves it. Otherwise its not going to do anything for you value wise. If I was looking at a fbod with lambo then I'd want to pay less because I wouldn't know how great of a job it is, how long it will last, and what else has been done to the car.

So I say yes if you like the lambo doors then do it, if not then don't do it for value reasons.

just a warning... I and several hundred other people looking to buy an f-body, would think lambo doors would lower the value of the car.

they will cost you like $1k to do, and there is still a good chance you will have to do massive body work on the front fenders to get the fixed mirror to work.

      but it has been done.

Note to all f-body owners. to get the lambo's it take alot more than just the new joints. you sideview mirrors have to be moved on tho your door to go up with the door or else they would hit. that a major bummer. plus ALOT of "things" can go wrong. its only like 1K for the conversion kit but even more to get it to work on our type of car.

            But they do look good.

I was at a ricer-type of car show yesterday and many of them had Lambo doors. It didn't even faze me... it seemed very common and almost normal. It was odd. I think it takes more than that to make a nice car.

At least admit that lambo doors on these cars would be convenient. Just count the number of times you've had to become a contortionist to get in your car to avoid bumping it against someone parked even semi close.

QF to the mothereffin' T! I hate how the doors are almost as long as I am tall. Well, i like the look but hate when people park next to me and i gotta crawl in. Easily avoided if the lot's big enuf to park at the back where noone is. helps to avoid dents on your rear 1/4 panel too

I dunno, i think they look cool but they're had better be some other mods along with them. by themselves they'd look stupid, but with shaved door handles, shaved antenna, lowered and on z06 rims with a sweet paint job... well now that would look pretty impressive now wouldn't it?

So you are saying its only a worthy mod if you dump enough cash into the car on other garbage? Heh... no, I don't agree. You gotta start somewhere. Too bad its so much of a b*tch to install them, because its a convenience. They also fit the overall appearance of a firebird. They wouldn't look out of place, like they do on a coupe version of an economy sedan with framed windows, .

                              Cool.
That car may be a channeled/chopped Lincoln Mark VIII. I recognize the wheels, windows and dash from the one I just sold after I bought my Catfish. They are wonderful cars, and cheap to buy.

The F-bodies are the best US cars for Lambos.
