Well last night after work i was on the way home, just got off the highway and was going down some backroads. when all the sudden i heard a explosion, and my car started pulling left, HARD. My front drivers side tire Blew out.

Pissed off, i threw on the emergency lights and jacked up the car and put on the donut tire, in the middle of the road, and got it to my house.

today went and bought tires. it was wet so i just took 1 of the 4, the blew one. Bought 4 tires, got the one fixed brought it home got it up and on the car. tommorow im taking the car and getting the other 3 put on, balanced and rotated and what not.

Ill post pics of the new set.

    total price of 580$$

    for:
    -4 tires
    -4 new valve stems
    -lifetime balance and rotation
    - and a warranty.

    Just my luck right?

No, but we went to the gas station and aired up the donut, just to get it completly full.

and i put the blown one on their to find the hole. Its about the size of a pin on the inside wall, Corner area, where wall meets the tread.

but never found what it was.
      im excited.
      new tires

Are they the Traction T/A's? How do you like them? I was thinking about getting those for my covertible but swapped the 18's from my 96' instead.

                  Used tires FTW!

                  My last set of tires...

I got a set of camaro 5-spokes for $200, tires lasted me 25,000 miles

when they recently went a little low on tread, I picked up a set of SS 10-spokes with tires for $400, and will likely last me at least a year.

I've only ever heard people call rims shoes. Might just be a hood thing though.

                            Re: Cars Got New Shoes

I have run a set of h-rated traction t/a's on mine as well [stock size] for the last 2 years. Much, much better than the old eagle GA's, but you knew that...

Good in the dry, MUCH better in the rain, and they look nice. They make a little rumble noise when I'm going really slowly [like decelerating through 15 mph], but otherwise seem no louder than the previous tires. Directional tread pattern limits rotation options. Seems an ok value for the money.

Hope this is useful to someone...
