ok, Z is zed in Britian System. i.e. if i was asked to spell zoo i would have to say Zed - o-o = zoo. Z is pronounced Zed. Nissan 350Z = Nissan 350Zed.

okay i will agree with you that the Zee pronounciation works well with the the Nissan 350Z and even the BMW Z4...even I pronounce those cars with the Zee. But it will always be a Zed 28 and a Zed 06 to me.

I don't see your logic here. A Bimmer would be a much better car to say Zed with.

I say Zee. When I see z, I think zee. When you see z, you think zed.

For that, I laugh at you.

well for example when Americans come to Montreal they often wonder where the street cotes-des-neiges is and so they ask "where is coteez-days-negeez?" when its pronounced more like cote-day-naygch. Or how about Vermont's Montpelier...which should be more like mon-peel-yea. There are so many others just not coming to mind right now.

Honestly I'm just kidding...it gives french Canadians something to laugh about.

The BMW Z4 is American built...maybe that has something to do with it.

                  Re: Zeee or Zed?

You say 'zed' I say 'zee', what's the big deal. Call it what you want or what you are used to. It refers to the same thing.

And for the non-believers out there that don't believe 'z' is pronounced 'zed' in Europe and many other parts of the world, look it up some time.
Yes, I know \"Artic\" should be spelled \"Arctic\". Can any of the mods change this?

This is simply another reason to get a WS6 over a ZeeZed28 :p

at this thread. It made me think of this quote:

<french accent>"I fart in your general direction - you silly English ca-niggets!"></french accent>

fyi, I have a french last name (pronounced luv-wa in French) that is Americanized (la-voy).

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
