Personally, I find Lexus as a great company that makes high quality cars with great looks. I insisted our next family car had to be a Lexus and now that we have one everyone loves it. However, that feature in itself is completely pointless and marks the affluent society we live in.

some people cannot paralell park to save their lives, lexus being luxurious which alot of old people want... im sure this helps old people

The guys in the vid were idiots, and they were obviously trying to make the feature look bad. I don't necessarily think it's a good feature to have...but they obviously had a strong bias before they even started to make the vid.

Anyone see that Audi commercial? The commercial opens with two Lexus's (same model as video above) Parrallel parked with a cars gap between them. You can hear a racing engine in the background, then some screeching as an Audi comes into the picture and slides in between them, now also parallel parked. It then says, "For those of us who car park themselves..." Or something along those lines.

It was an advertisement for one of their sporty versions. I thought it was good... :)

I can see it being complicated and time consuming at first, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually...

Ok, the guys in the vids are idiots and are trying to make the feature seem harder then it really is. If you read the 5 page book that comes with the car that tells u about the auto parking feature then you will have no problem at all using it to your advantage.

It backs into a parking space just fine, and it parellel parks just fine. Although I do think they had a malfunction in theres somehow because they would have never gotten that close to the minivan unless auto was off. Once you come within a foot of another vehicle it disengages itself and overrides the action it was taking.
