I have a friend who i went to Japan with, and he is really into this brand of clothes called bape, it is very popular in Hong Kong and here in Canada. I am wondering is it popular in the STates? I personally find this brand of clothes completely retarted. a t-shirt with a picture on it will cost you 8000 yen and up. and that is the price at the shop that gets it first, then when it gets released for the other stores to sell, the price is jacked up at least 50% sometimes over 100%. another thing is, why would anyone want to wait in line for a hoodie that doesnt look that nice, and pay over 200 american dollars for it? another really crazy thing. my friend, he bought a pair of boxer (thats right ONE boxer short) for around 25 bucks american, then a few days later when it is released to the other stores, it was sold at the price of 12500 yen. and at that store, i was shocked to see the price of a hoodie, it was over 400 bucks for the cheapest one. The really crazy thing is, people would know that they cost a certain price from the factory, but they would still pay others who sell it at a way higher price. ( I know this, my friend got his parents to line up for 6 hours, and buy it from factory store, and bought one t-shirt for around 125 bucks, then sold it to some guy in europe for 300.)
so i would like to see how the americans look at this brand of clothes.
