I saw it last night. Very good and touching movie.
It was based on a true story about the Indians in Ecuador. It was nice to hear the original Indian dialect and their struggle with the ever changing world. The myths they had of the people from the outside.
This was written by missionaries who struggled to earn the indians trust and to break their taboo about the outsiders.
I was told it was about missionaries one being named Jim Eliot. Their purpose was to break the language barrier to tell them the Gospel(Good News) of Jesus Christ and to help them create an alphabet and help them develop and write their own language, to eventually translate the Bible into their language.
I remember hearing several missionary stories in my Christian school and don't remember all of the stories, but do remember hearing Jim Eliot alot. I was also told by a few people that know alot about Jim Eliot and the mission, that the movie was done well (i.e. not a bunch of hollywood crap added)
I can't wait to see it myself when I get some free time.

No, I didn't cry, sheesh. Only two movies has ever made me cry and that's the Killing Field and Passion of the Christ.
Die Ford V8, you got it right. And yes, there's no Hollywood glamour on this movie. No big actors, no fancy special effects and absolutely nothing gay about it that tends to win the academy.
I suggest you better hurry up because the movie has been out for quite awhile. You might miss it in the big screen.
