• New Job!

Well the selling cars thing sucked my @$$, So, 2 weeks ago I went to work for trugreen chemlawn as a lime specialist. Now instead of selling cars I drive a Ford F350 truck around and apply lime to peoples lawns. I got my first check today and so far I love it. I am under 21 so I can't drive the big trucks but, thats good because none of the big trucks have AC! I have been traing with the rookie of the year from last year and I intend to be that this year. Base pay is $450 a week plus bonus's and a lot of other stuff. I love driving on my own allday and getting paid for it. Its hard work tho, lime has to go down at a rate of 25lbs per 1000sq ft. Around here the average lawn is probally about 25,000 sq ft so you can just imagine how often I have to refil my spreader but, atleast I am outside! What do you guys think and anyone else work for them?

Congrats man! I can't wait to complete my "education" before I can go into the field I love. That's cool that you have your goals high (getting rookie of the year). And who knows, when you get to the "Big Trucks," a few of us just MIGHT be able to help you out in installing an A/C

So average lawn is like half an acre, add a house on top of that. That isn't a huge lawn but I live on half an acre and its a pita to cut so I believe liming it would be timely. Way to go with the job man. Do you get any benefits with them or just straight pay?

Yeah health insurance, 401k all of that. One acre would take me about 1 hour to do and would use a lot of lime 25lbs x 40,000sq ft= 1,000lbs of lime

yeah I use to do yard work with my dad and we always had to put down a butt load of lime when we did it.

and no not 1 million pounds of lime lol 25 pounds for every 1000 square feet. thats 40 25 pound bags. 1000 pounds for a 40000 square foot yard
