• advices to buy a camaro

A friend of mine want to buy a camaro. that's really a good thing, there's not a lot of f-bodies in France
Something catch my attention : the camaro has 17'
and has this setup:
255/40/17 rear and 215/40/17 front

I believe this is because many of rims sold in france are 17x7 or 17x7'5

I've look to a tire calculator, the setup is completely silly
I've not seen personnaly the car

I've told him to be very carrefull

What do you thing of it? Is it a good idea to buy it?

I told him to stay away from this car, he doesn't believe me...
jusk asking others advices!
maybe I'm paranoid ;)

wow... those are some tiny tires, but that shouldn't impact your decision to buy the car or not as wheels and tires are pretty easy to change. How is the rest of the car?

konis , no leather, no options, altezas, 52000 miles,99, new paint
same price than full options car with less mileage and newer...(well my car ;) with my mods) 36000 miles , 99 model but sold in 2000

He told me it's because of wider tires he wants this car

I think the guy who owns this car is a ricer:
17' with tiny tires, altezas (it's called california lights in France)

the rears tires are fine, the front are just 10mm less than stock, so whats the big deal?

its really not a problem, 10mm shouldnt impact your decision to buy the car if its nice.....

yeah, there rears are fine, fronts might look goofy though, its only 10mm or so skinnier than stock, but stock is on 16" rims these are on 17". Not going to be a problem driving wise, might just look funny.

The tire spins at the same speed regardless of how wide it is. It is how big the diameter is that affects the speedo.
