  • When is enough, enough

first a hurrican destroys your house and it takes about a year for you to fix, then your girlfriend leaves you to "work on her problems", your parents criticize you at every turn, your roomates might be a little pissed when they find out you might be a little short on cash for the next couple of mounths, your insurance rates go up, and your best friend wont even talk to you anymore. WTF! When will things stop going wrong?

I have been asking that question for 5 years now.

I have learned to ignore anyone and everyone who is against me. Parents, women, friends, **** 'em. If they are not with you they are against you, and honestly, there is no time in your life to be impressing a group of people that really won't help you if you are not in a bind anyway.

As for insurance, it could be worse. You do have a car, a valid licence (I assume), and coverage incase anything happens. The house on the other hand, I do feel for ya on that one. Hard to invest money into something only to watch it get destroyed.

Seems like for me lately I live to work, instead of work to live. Its getting harder and harder to make money legally.

I know what you mean man...

in 40 days I went from jsut paying off all my credit card debt(not much but more then usual, for the last couple months) and getting ready to save up some money to invest in something... to being ~$8-12k in debt, looking to add another $30k to that in the rest of the summer.

Haven't gotten a paycheck since May 3rd, from all the work I missed.

It sucks man... Ever watch the show lost?

one of the dudes in there gave some good advice...(I know lame to take advice from TV) when crap piles up against you, just let it in, the fear, worry, stress, whatever bad crap, but only let it do everything, but only for a little bit, then shake it off and do what ya need to do to get things right.

just my advice... don't let crap get to you, it drives you nuts.

There is a few more things I assume have not happened, and am glad to not hear you mention like...
-not having a safe place to sleep at night.
-not having your ride stolen and have no transportation.
          -just lost your job.
-a DR. has'nt told you bout a fatal condition you might have.
-or you havent lost any loved ones.
-or your wife won custody of the kids and you must pay child support for them until they are 18yrs old.
-or you dont have any food to eat.
-and maybe worst of all, you don't have any option what so ever to make your life better, or make a difference in your life, or even worse, like not being able to do what you want, or speak what you want, or maybe just one of America's Most Wanted or something. You know what I mean.

...Hang in there big-dawg!...ride it out

T-Punk, haven't heard from you in forever. Sorry to hear that things are going so ****ty, but it seems to be a cycle for all of us. If you can hold out I'm sure things will turn for the better.

Off topic but.. where have you been??? Sometimes I think I see your car driving around, but thats about it.

Sounds to me like the only thing you can change to help your self is money. At least help with the stress of worrying about money. Have you thought about changing jobs? Orlando I'm guessing has tons of employment opportunity. It could also give you a boost just from the change in environment. Maybe even met someone new friends throught he co-workers there. Just a thought, hope it helps.

That, which does not kill you, makes you stronger.

In the end of all these, you will discover who you are and what kind of a man you are.

I am a depressed man who needs medication now. When you go from drinking about once every few months to every night and cry yourself to sleep you finally decide that something might be wrong. Unfortunately i am still living at my ex girlfriends apartment (i took it over when she went home for the summer so she didnt have to pay rent and then she broke up we me a few weeks later) and i now have to pack all of her stuff up, store it at the house im moving into and paint her apartment (its sad she breaks up with me and i still cant say no to her... im such a tool). The reason you guys havent heard from me in such a long time is that i dont have internet access at her apartment. Anyway i had to sell the turbos to pay rent so a turbo car is no longer in my future, maybe after i get my degree but not now. Hope you guys are doing better than me.

Please don't overdo it on the hooch. My brother was an alcoholic from 13-38, that is why i moved to Florida. I brought him down here and got him dried up. Now he has to start life over at 38 with a high school education and a fked up liver. PLEASE
