Compared to all other things like microwave, fridge, ect. I've heard that the monitor is the thing that uses the most. How much does it cost you a month to leave it on 24/7?

its actually a lot better to leave it on 24/7.
everytime you turn on the computer it sucks more power to spin the drives, and boot up the OS.
when you leave the computer on all the time.. just turn the monitor off and put it on sleep mode.. its very power effecient96 Camaro M5. Yah... doesn't suck a significant amount of power, and it's better for the sytem to just leave it on. Not if you have cable and are foolish and don't protect your PC with virus scan and a firewall, but for the most part, it is better.Black 1997 Camaro RS
Mods: Headlight, Fog Lamp, Blinker, and Tail Light Blackouts
35% Tint Window Armor (www.windowarmorusa.com)
Upcoming: Replace failing driver\'s window motor and Black Power Antenna
<a href=\"http://members.ca

My average electricity bill was about $25 a month living by myself... that is with all the lights, electric stove and oven I used EVERY night, AC every once in a while, and computer on every single day of the month.
They use no electricity at all...Sinister Six©
My \'95 Bird
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.

If a computer processor is running 24/7, it will cost about $3.50 a month, or about $40.00 a year. That is ignoring the monitor, and if the CPU is running at 100%.

Damn neon haters :(
As for weight reduction on the puter..... hmmmmm, it is electrical..... I'd probably cut all the wires and colorful thingies in there... that would be bad.
I refrain from weight reduction....so I spray it MORE!!! Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

Building the Tom Henry RS
Part 4: Suspension Mods, Tires, Wheels, Headers and other Cool Stuff.
By: Hib Halverson
At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...02-07-2020, 10:30 PM
