Paid 20,500 plus tax and reg fees for my 96RS with 18 miles on it back in 96. Most of them are from my test drive. Just cracked 55,000 miles this week.

Wow I am amazed at how many people buy these brand new and pay through the nose... I saw a used 2000 Trans Am w/ the ram air hood on it had 40,000 on it at a dealership for 16,000 </font>
how is that paying through the nose?
when I bought mine it was the cheapest 3800 you could buy (new)
mom was signing for me, and she wanted me in something reliable for school
actually, I think the only 6 cyl you could get cheaper was a Malibu

matt g....yea it was a great deal....its a crazy story too.......i wasnt expecting or even wanting a 4th gen camaro......my dream was to own a 3rd generation 87-92 IROC z28 but couldnt find a decent one for a decent price anywhere around here.....so one saturday me and my dad went lookin at some dealerships and found nothing...long story short...he has a buddy that has a auto repair shop and he called him up to see if he had seen or had one...he didnt, but he said he had a 99 camaro for sale $3500....all it needed was a new bumper.....no frame damage or anything...jus slight rear bumper damage.....we drove 2 hours to look at it after we got off the phone...get there...look at it....i immidiatly say i want it....we take it for a drive up the hwy come back and my dad writes his buddy a check...sad thing was that i had to wait almost a month before i could drive it...had to wait on bumper to get to him and have him repaint it...also lol it had 4 donuts on it..lol hideous looking..like a police car....fyi..this was all around xmas time....so for xmas my parents bought me some chrome 16x8 z28 rims w/275 i think kumho tires and to top it off my bro bought me a billit grille for it....one of my best xmas's ever...sorry to keep rambling on...im done

2001 Camaro Convertible, 32k miles, $12,500 Oct 04. Ive put 30k miles on it in one year. Found out later after calling the dealer and investigating some weird azzz door codes its a factory freak, since it was sold to a rental car company Gm threw a bunch of crap on there to basically charge them more, Mines basically a Ile Y87 V6.
