• My car WILL be getting sold

It will be sold after all... :(

i got a ticket the other nite, after racing my friend and his '97 Z28. we were both pulled over for speeding. I was clocked at 72, my friend at 70. speed limit was 50. the cop was semi-cool and gave us 64 in a 50 tix instead. instead of a $200 fine and 4 points, it was only $95 and 2 points. My parents, however, are extremely pissed. they are definitely gonna sell the car.

"How can they do that?!" you might ask. simple, the car was purchased through a loan. Although I am making payments, the car is in my dad's name, so it is therefore his. My mom is now taunting me, telling me to "start looking for a clunker." she never wanted me to have this car in the first place. *sigh*...parents. however, i have a plan. This car was killing me financially...i could make the payments easily, but full coverage on insurance drained my cash. for the level of performance it offered, it wasn't exactly worth what i was paying for it.

so, here's my plan. I mentioned before that a Grand Prix GTP might be my next car. I changed my mind. I plan on buying a late-model 3rd gen or an early 4th gen V8, that will only have liability insurance on it, nothing else. that way, i can still have a good car for less money. a third gen project car wouldn't be a bad idea, but a 4th gen would be nice too. what do you all think?

hmm... so your parents don't like you with a 4th gen v6 so you are going to get a 4th gen v8?

I hope you get something else other than a klunker... I have full coverage too and well its more than the payments I make on the car each month. LOL

I believe someone said earlier in another post, full coverage is worth every penny.

they didn't like it because it cost too damn much. my mom doesn't like any type of "fast" car, she thinks they're stupid and useless. She drives a Suburban...which is more or less a civilized tank. my dad doesn't care how fast the car is, he just wants it paid for.

so, getting like a '95-ish LT1 (heard bad things about '93-'94s) or an '89-92 L98 would be alright, as long as i can pay for it.

Ok its a cost thing? Go for it, just remember older sports cars, can get a little pricey as well even if it is paid for

Skorpion317... Got a question? How do the tail lights light up at night after you did the Nite Shades to it. I've been thinking of this and i was curious if they arr really dark even with the lights on. i don't want them to be so dark you can't see them. Let me know. If you want you can email me at king_arther6996@hotmail.com Like to hear from you.
