how the hell did the state trooper catch him? No way can they get up that fast. They would have to have a road block or something. Plus, if you're bike is modded THAT much, then I'm sure you can outrun the cop. Not saying thats a good idea but $hit...205 is a hefty fine.

the guy clocking the bikes was in a helicopter. after the bikes slowed down, the guy in the chopper radioed ahead to a patrol car. you can do 205 MPH on a bike, but you can't outrun the radio.

No see.. most people can't do 205 on a bike. The article doesn't even believe he was goign 205 on the bike. If you COULD go 205 on a bike you wouldn't be running from the cops at that speed. Can you say no manuevering? Hello Spike strip?

Several bikes now go over 200 right out of the showroom. A honda 1000 would do it.

Never said a bike can't reach 205. I said most people can't go 205, let alone maintain and manuever.

I had gone to a class, because I had lost my license a couple of years ago. There was a guy there, that had a highly moded rx7. I didn't believe him at first but he pictures and his ticket. He was doing 215 mph heading to WI. He lost his license for 5 years and had a $15000 fine.

what year rx-7? because without extensive aerodynamic modding the f3d's flip around 160-170mph. Well atleast one did. The record for fd3s is 240mph. The 19986 model went 230 however I'm almost positive it wasn't stock aerodynamics.
