• What brand CD player is best??

Ive gotten mixed feelings on what type is best for my car! What kind does everyone have and what do u think of it? Alpine is what a lot have recommended and then people have also said Sony and Pioneer are just as good?? What do u think?

You know, we do have a stereo section... That being said, I have owned two Pioneer decks and loved them both. I got great sound, ease of use, and never had a single problem with either over 2 or 3 years of use each.

Jensen. Hands down. And it's all about HP/Liter.

Just kidding. I have a Pioneer headunit, works great for me, and looks good for the price I paid. Ooh, and the remote is the best. :D

Well, Ive gone thru a ton of decks, and in my personal opinion, dont go with a pioneer or sony, or jvc, and definitley not Jensen. One of my favorite decks was a Kenwood. Alpines just look like crap. Clarions are pretty sweet. Again, just all my personal preference, but those first ones I listed, they are just cheap...

My uncle owns his own stereo shop and he gets a lot of Kenwood repairs. He's got a Kenwood in his Caddy, but the ribon goes out about once a year. It's nothing for him to fix, but it might be a hassle for you. Where my Sony has been playing strong for over 3 years
Alpine is also awesome, but i've heard if you have some scratches on the CD it won't read them. Sony does really well with playing scratched CDs.

and like JusFlyin said, DO NOT get jvc or Jensen.

Mine's been going strong for 2 years, reads most anything I throw into it. Scratched to hell or not.

You alpine fans might want to look at the bottom of this thread. There's better top-tier HU manufacturers out there these days.

Do a search in the Audio forum here CamaroChicky. You'll get better advice than all these circuit-city brand recommendations.

Well my recomendation is stay away from Sony Xplod. Just take my word for it and stay away from Xplod stuff.

I myself run a Pioneer DEH 9300 which is one of the higher end models that Pioneer offers and it nice quality deck.

You could want to look into Alpine, these decks sound awesome but the looks arent all that.

JVC good bang for the buck and the quality is good but looks on the lower end models arent all that.

I personally like Clarion - and I dont believe its sold at Circuit City... if it is, good for them, I bought it from one fo the most high end shops in DC.
