its about that time to start applyin for colleges, and im thinkin about applying to UNC Chapel Hill or NC State. I was wonderin if anybody on the board could let me know what the place is like from a students perspective. Thanks

If you have a high school girlfriend, you won't anymore once school starts...ESPECIALLY if you live on campus.

Or if your girlfriend is gonna go off to campus and live there, she'll dump you within a few weeks..99% sure. Something happens to women their first semester especially...even the most saintly girls in high school turn into party horn-balls.

You will have the time of your life. It's so different from high school. There are FINE WOMENS everywhere...I mean everywhere.

I go to USF..

Oh phil...I'll witness the golden knights getting their asses kicked at Rayjay on the 17th of September. Try and come out because they're trying to make it the war on I-4 and for the USF vs UCF games to become a yearly thing, big attendance is a must.

I have been to like 20 UCF football games, and I think I only made it from the parking tailgaiting into the stadium a few times, and that was for a trip for the chicks to use the bathroom.

ONCE I actually made it into the stadium, and we caught the half time show, and a few plays.


Funny how many UCF peopel are actually on the board.

I will say UNC Charlotte and Duke are both really pretty schools. My bro went ot both [img]smile.gif[/img]

but then again you are from NC, so you are probably used to the scenery.

Just remember focus on school, have lots of party time, don't room with friends and everything should be fun.

ohh yeah and don't be shy about girls, schools are so big you can get shot down and never see the girl again [img]smile.gif[/img] But for every girl that shoots you down 3-4 will take you up on your offer. [img]smile.gif[/img]

NC State is a huge, crowded campus. It could take you a good 20 minutes to walk to class. Some of the dorms don't even have A/C. That sounds nice when its 105 degrees outside.

Also, none of the UNC schools allow freshmen to bring cars except for App.

For people that don't know, Duke isn't a UNC school, and therefor tuition is something like $30k a year. At any state school he'll be paying less than $4k a year in tuition.

What are you looking to major in?

I want to do premed or law, but i dont have to make that decision till sophmore year of college, so i want to keep my options open. Yea, ive looked into tution costs at Duke......its my dream school tho so i gotta try ;)

Well, I would suggest App, but we don't have much of a pre-med pogram, and I don't even think we have pre-law.

Are you sure those are realistic majors, or do you just want to get into a field that makes a lot of money? It would be a shame to pick a school for pre-med, and find out you're not any good at College Biology. Just sayin' ;)

i live in NC right near all of those schools. here is a quick rundown..

NC State is a good school for design, engineering, science type.. vet school, and is pretty much located downtown raleigh. not a pretty campus. its the same amount as UNC is tuition

UNC doesnt have an engineering program at all, very good med shool, law school, more liberal arts and a very pretty campus.

Duke is good for law, med school is very strong, public policy, etc. good for a grad, not an undergrad, hard to get into, but this has the prettiest campus. and the most money for tuition ;)

Thanks dmw, UNC is realisitic for me. And ive always leaned towards biology in school, so i wouldnt mind tryin out pre-med. I took biology 2 Ap last yea, only class i really did well in so i figure its gotta mean somethin.

If ti helps any my bro went to UNC charlotte for two years then finished his last 2 years at DUKE..

but he got a half scholarship for Soccer, came in 2nd place at ACC finals, with him starting [img]graemlins/naughty.gif[/img]
