The Da Vinci Code is a pretty good book. Yes, it is the second book with the Robert Langdon character in it. However, you don't have to read Angels and Demons, which is the first book with Langdon in it, to read The Da Vinci Code, it is not a direct sequel. I actually thought Angels and Demons was the better of the two.
