LS1 all the way! Don't listen to all this hype about weak sleeves on the LS1's. We have built numerous motors that carried our 3300+ pound race weight cars into the 10 second 1/4 miles naturally aspirated! With a slightly different setup, and a power adder we make setups run low 10's all the time. It all comes down to how much money you wanna spend, and how fast you wanna go. You can always get an LS1 block (even a complete short block, stock or built) pretty cheap. 383ci rotating assemblies can be had every day of the week for $2000. Get the point? Shoot me an e-mail if you have any ideas you're thinking about but aren't too sure about, I have a little background with them:)
