• Just drove a Z06

My buddy and I were driving to the highway from one of the club meets. He pulled over and I was like what's going on? He says you wanna drive it? HELL YES!! :D
Man those things are awesome. Took me a few minutes to get used to the clutch but after that I was locked. Shifting in that thing is a dream, only move the knob about an 1/8 inch for each throw. One of the best 15 minutes of my life so far :D

What got me was why he wanted to swap cars instead of ride along while I was driving it. I bet he was thinking "man this is a POS" while he was drivin my car

Very nice, you're making me jealous. My neighbor just got one and he still hasn't let me drive it yet. Much turning or all just straight line stuff?
There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

I got to sit in the new Z06 Vette at the Detroit Auto Show. It was probably the most fun I've had sitting down in a while

Do you even have to ask?

That's pretty awesome... I think 1/8th inch is a bit of an exaggeration (just try to imagine trying to find gears with only 1/8th inch of movement), but I'm sure it's great... quite fun getting into those awesome cars after driving something much slower most of the time.

Straight but with a few hills, there was a point where I got on it though. I pulled to the turning lane at a stop light to yell something at him and when the light turned green he left and I was still in the turn lane so I had to accelerate past a couple of cars to get back into the other lane behind him

hes got a cam and a few bolt ons, puts down about 420rwhp

Not much of an exaggeration if any at all. The shifter while in neutral if you swung it from left to right only moved about a half inch. He said its stock shifter but the stick was cut.

Was kind of scary driving it, we weren't on the best road in town. His car is really LOW. Last weekend I rode with him with a camera to film him racing a supra and he said every bump he felt the tires rub. I'm not sure if it was an exagerration or not but I wouldn't doubt there was some clearance trouble involved. I weigh 200 and hes a little more than me.

I live off Ina near Thornydale. Almost Marana I guess. This was down on Houghton though.

Oh and let me add one thing. HUD systems rock!! It shows RPM and gas level, and has a digital speedo. He says it has a shift light in it too but I wasn't lucky enough to have to use it :(

I'm sure the lowering of the Z06 did nothing for its handling.
