Convertible fbods.... GAS MILEAGE??

As you may know, I'm buying a 35th anniversary convertible 3.8 Camaro fully loaded with ground effects. I've been stressed out over putting the deposit down, but everytime I go and look at it, my heart drops... I'm going to take the plunge.

What is the gas mileage you guys are getting in your convertibles??? Especially the heavier ones with gfx?

(I think when my 96' was stock, I was getting around 330 to the tank, but I can't remember that far back). Thanks again.

ok it may not be too much help but my roommate has a 95 convertible camaro of course with the 3.4 and auto and gets like 21-22 in town and like 25-26 on the highway.... thats all with the top up though... it decreases quite a bit with the top down for like an extended trip... congrats on the decision though...

I can't notice a big difference in gas milage in my convertible vs. my coupe.

Shirl, you should know that our cars gas mileage ranges so badly that asking us wouldnt give you an accurate idea of what that cars does.

That one has the stripe package as well? :cool:
I got over 350 on a road trip to Pittsburgh last fall - that including 70mph average and much top down driving. Now that I am all short trip town driving it is much lower.

Gee... mine only gets 20mpg average... and thats with quite a bit of highway driving...

I have a 3.8 Firebird, hard top and I normally get around 24 mpg.
