  • Already a Problem with the Stang *Updated*

500 miles after I bought it I am already having a problem that makes the car undrivable.

My step-dad is saying the intake manifold cracked . Engine coolant is spraying all over the engine bay. I ran through 4 gallons of coolant trying to drive the sob home. Good thing I bought the warranty, I checked and the intake manifold is covered so I just have to get it towed down tomorrow, probablly going to take them a couple days to order the part.. they better give me a rental or i will be pissed. oh man. . . at least it was just a headgasket and not something too serious.
Then again im not sure how hard it is to do headgaskets on our cars.

It's a known problem and should be covered under waranty.

              http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=602088

Any waranty claims I've had done in the past, if they keep the car for an extended period of time, they give you a rental.

Yea, I think you get the newer, better manifold.

do you know if the newer one gives an increase in horsepower?

Hmm, I don't think so. Just a better design.

I agree. Sell a car with blown headgasket, then buy a car with a blown headgasket. J/k. At least this is under warranty though. Sorry to hear about your bad luck bro.
