  • good idea or dumb

With the ever growing group of stupid ricers who don't know anything about cars, I've come up with a good idea. Here the details:

I can get free engines from a friend of mine who works at a Honda dealer. These engine are broke such as water got into the engine and rods broke. I figure since I can get the engine as whole for free I can spend about $1000 in rebuild parts and sell the engine on ebay or something to a ricer for double of what I spent on parts. The only down side is I can get any of the wiring that would be needed for the engine to actully run so the buy would have to figure that one out.

Now do you think this is a good idea??? Keep the flaming to a low

you could make quite a bit of money off of that, just say some stupid stuff like "TYPE-R motor!" all over the page. ricers would buy it in a heartbeat.

i wouldn't lie about anything, i would just say what type of motor it is and what car it came out of. give them the list of parts. and a price tag. me and my friend are thinking about building one and seeing how it goes. it be might the future of a great business later down the road. isn't that how bill gates started off, building computers in his garage or something like that?

Another thing to consider is the fact that most (not all) Honda owners that mod their car are young people that don't generally have thousands of dollars to spend on a new engine. Your market would be somewhat limited. You would make some sales, but keep in mind that hardcore tuners like to do the stuff themselves or have a friend at the local speed shop that will hook them up.
