  • Cloth Seats?

I have a set of non-power seats from my 99 bird (dark grey) that I listed on eBay.

14 people are watching it right now, but I was just emailed by someone near me who offered me 300 dollars for the full cloth seat set.

Is this worth it? Should I wait the auction out or will I have a hard time fetching more than that. That seems like a lot for cloth setas!

How much do you have them listed for (starting bid)? How long have they been listed? What kind of condition are they in?
14 people watching tells me that they are all waiting to see if someone else steps up to the plate first. Personally, if I had them listed for more than 4 days and no bids, I'd sell them to the person near you. No worries about shipping them too.

I started the listing out at 1.00 no reserve.

There is one bid on them at 1.00 but 15 people are watching.

I think that 300 in cash and local pick up is a damn good deal, but i dont want to piss anyone off on eBay by ending the auction early...that is legal isn't it?

Thats my auction. The seats are FLAWLESS.

If it is enough for you, why not take it?
I think leather seats go for $600, just for some comaprison. $300 seems a decent price.

It is plenty for me. Much more than I ever expected.

However, does anyone know if eBay has any regulation against cancelling an item?

you are not supposed to end because of an outside offer

but you could make a change in description and say that they were damaged and you are ending the auction

When I did my nitrous setup on ebay I had all kinds of people hitting me with offers.

I say let them bid, guy wants it he will bid... too I wouldn't play arond with stuff any more then $100 outside bids.

btw... its at $51, not $1 any more... I'd give ya $200 shipped but shipping is what woudl kill me, too bad you aren't local.

If people already started bidding on them, then I wouldn't end it because of an outside auction.

All the auctions I've seen already had the statement in there that you reserve teh right to end the auction early, even for a local sale. Maybe just change your description to include this, especially if you're gonna get ripped and have to charge someone $350 shipping on a $1 item ;)

The guy said he's coming tomorrow around noon to come pick it up. I'm not going to cancel anything until he comes.

If he comes, I'll cancel, if he doesn't show up tomorrow, they stay on eBay.

Can't get scammed doign that :D
