Dont spend more than you can afford to pay off.

Do try and pay back everything asap. w/in the graceperiod if possible

credit cards can be great for your credit, but if your not smart about using it, it can feck up your credit hard and fast

Don't buy a turbo.

Buy a turbo, but pay the company for it immediately.

If you're trying to establish credit then I suggest this:
Get 2 major credit cards, a gas card, and a department store card.
Don't hve to go buck wild with them, but all the different types of cards will give you a higher rating I think. My mom worked at a bank for like 20 years, thats what she told me to do when I turned 18

If you dont have cash to pay for something, then you can't use the plastic. Always pay your bills and just be responsible. Credit cards are the best thing for your early credit--IF you are responsible.

Buy a turbo, dispute the charges, have a free turbo.

Make sure you don't start buying gas on your credit card... once I did that, I stopped paying for anything with cash, and I became a card-junkie....

I would get a low limit, and I would only get ONE CARD, from a major Credit Card company.

Pay your ENTIRE balance off every month. If you cant pay for it you SHOULDNT buy it.

It is a good way to establish credit, IF you are responsible.

I am 26, I got my first credit card when I was I think 18, it was an American Eagle card, which I used ONLY TWICE.
Once I graduated college, I got a GM card in Jan of '02, I was 24. I have always paid the entire balance off monthly.

This past January I went to get a preapproval for a mortgage, and was very surprised. My score was in the 780's. I also thought I was asking for a high amount, but I could have gone at least 10-15% higher.

Bottom line, credit is important, you DONT NEED A LOT of cards etc. to have a good credit score.
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!
