• AHHH help.....my horsepower side is fighting my economical side aahhhh

Well i've started looking at trans ams and formulas again and its got me wanting one again. I've found a nice good price range one too a 2000 for $13950 6spd midnight blue. Thats a good price for that. But then i remember insurance and how i should get a car thats good on gas and a travel to work daily driver and also theres the little fact that i'm almost in a committment with the scion tc (payed a $200 dollar holding fee and signed a contract that says that the contract is subject to a test drive) and the tC isn't thatbad of a car....but like my friends point out its only a 160 HP 4 cyl engine and i'm gonna be paying almost 19K for it (they dont know its 19K tho, the think that its base price of $16xxx). AHHHHHH ****ing decisions!!!

not only that... but typically your insurance goes down when you add a second vehicle. nevermind the fact that you will be adding a car pmt...

Would you still keep your 6er as a project car? If so, I'd say go economical because you'll have a fast car in the garage. Remember, if you buy a T/A as a daily driver, you have to deal with insurance premiums and paying for premium fuel. If you're gonna get rid of the 6, then hell yes, get the Trans Am. 6-speeds own!

                  Yes i will be keeping the 6 for a project.Maybe i'll do an LS1 swap (or at least a V8 swap)...so i can have my 8 without having to spend 10K+ on a t/a

get the TA and take the 6 off the insurance. save some money. pay for it sitting in the garage. i cant really remember what its called. used alot by people going on a long vacation. its real cheap and you can have a the peice and mind if someone steals your stereo or something

I'd say to go with the TA too. I don't think my buddy has seen under 20mpg in his WS6 with trips to the track and "very spirited" driving. He gets better mileage than my 6 on average, and I know 28mpg isn't uncommon with his car. Just some food for thought.

get the TA...LS1s are badass...My best friend has a 98 TA not gonna type out his mod list, but its fairly modded, has 4.10 gears runs 12.5s all day, is his daily driver and gets 26MPG still.
