Ok I know there was a post about this a month or so ago. However, I been looking at this as an option instead of my current saving account of a whopping .15%. For those of you that have this are you happy with it? How easy is it to gain access to your money when the time comes when you need it?

I have it and I love it. I have no gripes.
As far as getting the money when you need it, it could take a couple days to transfer funds into it. It's definitely not an emergency funds account. It's one of those 'put money in there and forget about it' accounts.97 Camaro<br />94 Blazer<br />~ -
If you really want a return on your investment you should do aggressive mutual funds. Normally it takes about a week to get money out when you need it. But there is a possibility of a lot higher gains.
If you are talking about < 1000 then a bank savings account is about as good as it gets. Beacause the trasactions fees for a broker and such would be too high of a percentage of your initial investment.
I personally have a small account with American Funds making about 8 percent in 6mo.
You have to remember that mutual funds may loose value and are not FDIC insured, and history doesn't neccesarily mean future gains.Comment
