Last night in CT, the Kumar looking dude was changing the prices above the Shell fuel pump from $2.89 to $2.79 for cash only. Using a credit card would add 10 cents to the sale. For some reason the credit card companies deal with the owner for processing costs I guess.

I cruise north see a pal who lives in Southern Massachussetts and their Shell station advertises regular unleaded for $2.59. They are .20 cents per gallon lower than I.

Massachussetts has tolls to offset certain taxes and we don't yet we in CT pay one of the highest fuel taxes in the nation.

I still feel scammed about the CT Air Quality programs our state charges us in car taxes. I own 3 finely tuned F-Bodies of which 2 are for summer cruising, I'm not polluting as much as the school bus with 50 kids in front of me that belches out thick gobs of smoke in front of me. Anyways I'm guessing we are receiving the smog from New York State as the wind goes from west to the east coast. That would be another forum debate so I'll save that for much later.

I'm sure we are all enjoying the enormous slump in fuel prices. Diesel owners still have it tough by paying $1.00 more than we do, conspiracy?

I don't even fill up in my own country anymore. at 4.24 a gallon and this is bargain price considering it has dropped .30 cents a litre or 1.13 a gallon over the last month. I head to Washington once a week and fill up there for 2.69-2.89 a gallon.
