A way smaller sized tree destroyed my Beretta GTZ 2 years ago, but just at 50mph...I saw pics of a 850i flying of the ABahn at 150mph into a wood and desintegrated into nothing.
The biggest chunk they found was the engine block.

    1. Overall, the cars are in much better condition because of tough inspections

    2. Licenses are much harder to get, with better driving training

    3. The autobahn speed limit is "whatever's safe" up to 155 mph
    Two corrections ;)

    1. Inspections are tougher, way too tough and modifying a car here is not fun. California seems fun compared to this...

    3. 155mph is not the limit.
    We have NO limit.
155mph is an unsolicited limit by BMW and Mercedes (even though AMG removes the limiter on request), but for example Porsche doesn´t do it and if someone ever buys a new Bugatti and wants to drive 250mph, he could do it. Whatever sense that makes.

EDIT: BTW Those plates don´t look like german plates, so if that happened in Germany the driver was probably not used to the higher speeds here.
</font>[/QUOTE]a few areas DO have speed limit now, and germany recomedens 130 KPH MAX, that does not mean poeple lissen though

True, they recommend driving 130kph since 1972 in a special law and nobody cares There are even blue signs with a recommended limit sometimes.
But in common limits are only at intersections, housing areas, on bad roads, tight turns, areas with lots of traffic or construction sites...

          EDIT: typo

About six months ago there was a very long thread regarding these pictures that questioned the authenticity of these pictures.

I thought this was setup as a "scare tactic" for teenage drivers, hence all of the young kids standing around?
