  • Might be selling my engine...

I've been wanting to swap in an LS1/t-56 for some time now and I believe I'm going to go ahead with it. If I do the swap, I'll be getting rid of the engine, computer, transmission, wiring harness, intake, and full exhaust. I wanted to gauge interest on this and see if anyone close might want it (not sure if this should go into the for sale section or not, since im not 100% sure I'm selling it all yet). Any ideas on how much to ask on this? I'm really not sure what it's worth. Any suggestions would be useful.

Engine just rolled over 61,400 miles and I've shot three bottles through it, 85 shot the whole time. The exhaust is a single in, dual out two-chamber flowmaster (not sure what series) with no cat (o2 sim included). My carbon fiber whisperlid would need to go too, and the only thing wrong with it is the small hole in the back where the nitrous line is. This setup with nitto dr's and the dry 85 shot went 13.67 @ 101 less than two months ago.

Come on guys. I need some help with this one...what do you think? The second I have it all out of the car when the swap is done, I'll list it in the for sale section and let you know exactly what all I have. The speedometer, stock automatic pedals, center console, and a couple of other pieces might become available also.
    Thanks for the help.

I would start with a asking price of around $750 and probably take $500 if it did not look like anyone was interested at the $750 price.

Well, I'm kind of held up in the process. I've been looking for a wrecked LS1 car (so that I'll have everything there in front of me when I swap), but I'm not having much luck. Selling my engine and everything with it would help out on the cost, especially since I won't have much use for it then. I appreciate the input and I'll keep checking in. If possible, I had rather sell this locally because of the size and amount of parts I would have to ship out. I'll give you guys more info as I get further into it. Thanks

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
