James (firefighter) and I are moving into our own place on Thursday (July 8th). We got a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor (3rd floor) of the complex. Our place overlooks the tennis court and we can see a small bit of the pool. ( http://www.rent.com/property/441178/1/ )

We've got a bedroom set, tv stand, futon (as a couch), 2 end tables, a kitchen table and 4 chairs, some lamps, a bathroom set, and your big kitchen appliances like a microwave and dishes. WE've gotten a lot of the smaller things as well (soap, cleaners, measuring cups, pots, pans...).

What are some things I may have forgotten that I will definately need? Any advice for the move?

3rd floor apartments SUCK for moving!
I just moved off the 3rd floor, took me about 10 hours total to move because of going up and down the stairs so many times... I would get as many people as possible to help you move, it goes a lot faster with more people... I basically moved by myself and like I said, took forever :(

Also doesn't look like you're missing anything... does the apartment come with a refridgerator? You might need one of those

Yeah comes with fridge, gas stove, and central a/c. There is also a laundry place on grounds, as well as tennis courts, clubhouse, pool, picnic areas and bike trails.

Damn, you lazy. Took my dad and I about 1 1/2hrs in 90 degree heat to move me into the 3rd floor apartment. Basically, you grabbed a box, carried it up, grabbed a water, drank it on the way down. 1 water every 3rd trip was good.

Now that I know where you live, I'm going to start harrassing you two... You'll come back and notice that a lamp has been moved one day... the next day you'll wonder why your couch pillows always seem to move... and by the end of the week, you'll be as much a lunatic as Infernal. :D "ALIENS!!!"

Congrats!!!

Toaster ovens are awesome and very handy... yeah, you will definitely need a vaccuum, broom, and those swiffer things are good.

just make sure you have quite a few towels, extra blanket and pillows, etc, for when you have guests... you're moving up in the world.

Do you have a coffee table and bookshelves? Check out IKEA if you have one near you (you should, there's 1 in baltimore, and a couple in NoVA) - you can find cool things there for not too much money

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
