• Wow i was worried i might have splurged to much last night

last night i just kind of hung out iwth my friends watched like 3 movies had some pizza, mountain dew etc (the splurging for me is the pizza n Mt Dew....wow high carbs wow) and after i got home i decided to flush my system a lil bit with a GALLON of water, drank it within half an hour (wow that was a lot of freakin water). For ****s n giggles i stepped on the scale to see if i had gained anything from my splurge....8 pounds!!!! and then i was like "****, why did i have to do that" then it hit me and said to myself "i wonder how much a gallon of water weighs" and i researched it and all sites i've found were 8.3x pounds so that made me feel a little bit better . now i'm conducting an experiment, i'm drinking another gallon of water to see if i gain some more weight. BTW....drinking a gallon of water in half an hour REALLY makes you have to piss and not feel to well lol....but my pee was nice and clear...no yellow (very little) to it :D

***UPDATE*** i drank another 3/4 gallon ( i could only get 3/4 down because i felt if i took another drink i would be puking all over) and i did in fact gain more weight, only about 3-4 pounds though since i've pissed some out since i've drank the first gallon. But i really dont feel good now lmao cant wait for me to piss the rest of it out.

Overhydration is disruptive to nerve cell function and can produce symptoms of lightheadedness or mild vertigo. Severe overhydration is known as water intoxication. It produces neurological symptoms ranging from disoriented behavior to convulsions, coma, and death. This increase in intracellular water concentration can also result in a decrease in hydrostatic pressure. As the pressure drops, water moves out of the plasma, causing a loss of blood volume in the body and this can lead to circulatory shock.

my grandma took this medicine that makes you really thirsty all the time and she just drank tons of water and was in the hospital for water intoxication

drinking 1 3/4 gallon of water=not smart

yea but how much is too much? my guess is you'd have to drink about double that without draining it out.
if its anything like alcohol, only feeling sick is definitly not enough!

No, drinking almost 2 gallons in an hour would normally do it to you.
