• Did you guys know that Ligers really do exist

I was watching Napolean Dynomite and he said that his favorite animal was a Liger.

I looked it up and there really is thing called a Liger.

It's a hybrid spawn from a male Lion and a female Tiger. A male Tiger mix with Lioness is called a Tigon. Which is very small, only 200 lbs.

A Liger the largest thing in the cat family can weigh close to a thousand pound.

I knew about them, but only because I read a CNN article about it earlier this year. I've never seen Napolean Dynomite

ive heard of people mateing a lion and tiger together b4 into what u mite call a "liger"- but to be condidered a valid species or something it has to
1)not die prematurely
2)be able to produce offspring

or something like that, i never liked biology. but its like a mule- a horse crossed with a donkey(they did that to get a better beast of burden), but mules cant reproduce. also tigers are solitary creatures in a jungle and lions live in groups in a savana, so their instincts are different.

^ Yes, I remember that. There's been some cases but rare that a Liger can mate and reproduce with either a Lion or a Tiger or it's own kind.

A Tigon however can't reproduce.

There was a small case in the Gir Forest in India where an Asian Lion mated with a Tiger and produced a Liger. But since there are only less than 200 Lions left in Asia today, the chances of mating with a Tiger is below 0.

A Liger is produced in captivity. It has both the Lion and the Tiger's characteristic. Where it can be very aggressive and domineering like a male Lion and likes water like a Tiger.
