  • Strangest TransAm/Firebird

Ok, I was turning outta the gas station and was going to make a right on the light ahead. In front of me, I see the taillights, and I'm like, sweet, another Fbody! So I get behind him and I see; the WS6 badges, the WS6 exhaust, and the TransAm rear bumper. I speed up and get in front of him to get on the freeway, and I see his hood. WS6. But here's what I really noticed.

    Firebird wing
    Firebird front bumper
    Firebird panel (between the taillights)

I saw who was driving it and it was an older mid 40's guy with (I'm assuming) his wife. So here's my conclusion.....

    1. He bought a firebird and is making a replica WS6 for show or to sell as a WS6 with a V6
    2. He bought the TransBird like that thinking it was a WS6; so the guy he bought if off made money off a WS6 instead of a Firebird
    3. Some Firebirds came like that

If it's #3, then can you explain...

did the Formulas come with the WS6 package at all? i'm pretty sure they looked like regular firebirds, with a few exceptions.

Either that, or if it was 93-97 style (if WS6 was an option/it didn't have the hood, so that was repro) it might have been a 93 or 94 t/a because the t/a GT in '94 started the raised back spoiler that became standard in '95.

Also in 96 i know they had Formula ws6's with ram air hood. A local buddy has a white 96 ws6 formula with ram air very rare and cool.
