  • Serious Problem with a Woman

Well, a message board is one of the few places I can talk about this. I'm gonna make this as short as possible. An older 35 somethin year old woman with a family at my job made many attempts to talk to me. Offering food, asking questions, playing jokes and she tried to hook me up with her brother-in-law so we could produce songs together. I never accepted any of her offers and I ignored her in the hallway. Even though she looks good, there was something telling me to stay away from this one.

A couple of weeks ago I was going through a few things so I showed up at work looking kind of miserable. Then someone told me that someone at my job told them that they were afraid I was going to go postal. I had to find out who was worried so I asked this woman since she's the only female on my shift. She said it wasn't her, but then went to the boss the next day saying she was worried about me going postal. The guy calls me upstairs and I propose not to look at her or talk to her anymore. Since then we haven't been speaking but there seemed to be a mounting tension so I confronted her last night to ease the tension. She got upset, raised her voice, shaking uncontrollably, and seconds from bursting tears. I could see there was no hope so I decided to leave her alone for good. I come into work today to a harassment complaint and a suspension from work until further notice.

I couldn't be more innocent in this situation, just another female abusing her rights. My mistake was confronting her even though I had good intentions. My feelings right now are just.............................................

    Thanks for reading.

Wow! Sounds like that woman has lots of problems! Her breaking down was probably not your fault at all, just an excuse to explode and let it all out. How old are you? She may see you, depending on your age, as just another 'punk kid.' She may feel 'rejected' because you kinda turned her down. Call the boss, tell him exactly what went down, then just go from there! Good luck .... :)

include in the whole thing with your boss that when he told you that you shouldnt talk to her, he was completely right and that youre a dumbass for not listening.

I'm surprised your work acted only by "her word" alone instead of doing some sort of investigation first. These are very serious charges which could tarnish your reputation in the work force, and also in the community for a long time. I would seriously contact an attorney and explain the situation. You will pretty much get no where fighting it alone.

People who abuse worker's rights or discriminate on the work force need to be stopped and punished. I do feel your pain because I was let go from a company on BS terms. I have night blindness which in term only allows me to drive during "daylight" hours. My boss one day got sick of the fact I couldn't stay later to work so he terminated me right on the spot. I think what women (not all women) fail to realize is that MEN have rights as well. I hope things work out for you.

It was my suggestion not to talk to her therefore my decision wether or not to follow through with that.

I came to work earlier today and was immediately pulled into a meeting by the head boss and a supervisor. I told them both everything that I said on this board plus all the details, especially about all of her attempts to seemingly sucker me into this mess. I'm 23, and it blows my mind that I can bring so much emotion out of this woman who should have been able's to just let the problem rest! I got very little warning and everyone envolved including the woman herself knows that this mess could have been avoided. Time for me to add some defense on my side as I'm afraid this is going to snowball into a big mess.

I was cruisin around in my camaro earlier blowing off steam and listening to everyone compliment my ride, and the whole time thinking I might not be able to keep this thing much longer. Well, I thank those that wished me luck. I need it!

What 23-year-old male victims of wrongful harassment charges can afford an attorney?

Unless you are planning on suing the company rather than having the attorney simply defend you...

However, having a lawyer call your boss would convince him that you are serious. Maybe its worth a phone call to that lawyer's office to see how much he would charge/what could come out of this case. Unless you sue the company and win big bucks, I have a feeling you're going to have to pay him out of pocket just to keep your job...

As I keep growing older on this journey of life I find that when I was judging myself by my intentions the world is judging me by my actions.

I try to think out very carefully the result of my actions before I carry them out today.

                        We all make mistakes.

We can turn all of our experiences in life into learning opportunities my friend.

I wish you well in the outcome of this.

ZELL I GOT GOOD ADVICE FOR YOU BUDDY

Break out the good ol' Tape voice recorder!
Hide it in your jacket. Or somewhere concealed

It works wonders, Continue to talk to her. Most women eventually will come out and say the nasty truth. Get her on tape. Prove your innocence.

There is lots of crazy women out there. Once you get them on tape, they shut their mouths and beg for you to accept their apology. My mother used to work in Milwaukee's court house. She says the voice\video recorder is one powerful tool.

Seriously man, take my voice recorder idea into consideration, you may save your job and reputation from that b*tch.

I think you are just going to have to roll over and take what they give you and pretend to like it or hire a lawyer. If you fight or protest this on your own then you are going to lose.

I don't think they care who is right but who makes the first complaint.

You are getting screwed. I hope you can work it out.
