Car fax is a waste.

My car was in an accident, car fax did not show it. It must be been reported, because the dealership fixed it. They told me before I bought it. Yet i wasted 30$ at carfax for them to tell me my car was onced owned as a company car for execs. Sold at 20k miles to another owner, who sold it at 63k miles to the dealership.

carfax showed a camaro i was going to buy had never ever been in an accident... we get there and my dad and i are pretty good with cars, my dad especially. so we're looking at the car and we notice that there's a few different shades of red on it if you look at it for a long time, so we check some stuff out and a lot of things had been replaced: windsheild, hood, both fenders, passenger side door, front bumper. so we ask the guy and he had JUST told us it had never been in a wreck two minutes before and he goes, "well, my son hit a deer once but it just scratched the hood so we had it repainted." yeah, so that's why the frame was bent all to hell in three diff. spots and it was leaking oil under the engine. carfax didn't show any of that. half the car had been replaced from a major accident and it couldn't even tell me that. drove four hours to see the damn car too!

They even claim on carfax that they will by your car if they dont show what is wrong with your car. Well that has to be BS to, i bet they would give me $2000 for my car. it worth atlest $4500
