• What am I lookin at?

Casually speaking guys, going from a 96/3.8 to a V8 swap what prices am I looking at. Here is the dilema....basically our cars don't like carseats and there is only one way around it for me. Get a new truck and later on down the road spruce the old car up with an 8, or sell it now and buy a Z later on down the road. Just need a little casual/formal advice on the issue; and thanks in advance guys.

Your best bet is to do a search in Advanced Tech and start reading. There's a bunch of posts on this very topic. Here's some to get you started. IMHO, I think it'd be more cost effective to just buy a Z later.

There's too many variables to give an even somewhat accurate price for what you're asking.

So with that said...anywhere between $1000-8000 as a casual estimate.

I put a carseat in my bird once or twice... It was kind of funny really

Take care of family first man, worry about going fast later. That V8 isn't going to help you haul a baby around any better

I believe average prices are about $4-6k though

Yea it's a project for a couple years down the road. I'm looking into getting a Range Rover within the next couple months, that's a given. I just know that I will need a "changeup" to keep me grounded. The only thing is, my car (GOD love it) isn't a "hot-rod" by any stretch of the imagination. But I love it to death and it's PAID FOR ALREADY!!!

My camaro, either a 8 or 6 will be just dad's toy, everything else belongs to either my wife-to-be or my family. I'm just looking for options to ponder over. Sell the 6 now, and buy a Z later, or convert it to a "hidden" Z later.
