    hey guys, i found a 95 mustang 3.8l convertible
    it is red and looks really good. it has mineor front end damage and needs a head gasket replaced and it is for sale for 1000.00
    do you think this is worth buying? i would problably keep it as a daily driver/beater for the snow and what not. to keep mine looking good.
    or i could fix it in my auto class and sell it for a hefty sum more than i bought it for.
    any ideas?

    Not in a million years. Too much of a chick car and inferior to the F-body anyway. Just one man's opinion. Not a good choice for a daily driver/snow plower anyway

        Oh, don't buy that stang either. You were just considering buying coil overs, now you want a stang? Something is fishy here, folks.

              yeah choose a winter beater with FWD or AWD. RWD you mine as well drive the maro around and look better.

                    And how much would a low-mileage longblock cost to replace the one with a blown headgasket? Probably not much. As for those of you who say a RWD car can't make a winter car, then what's my excuse when I had my Camaro? Hmm, let's see: I grew up in CA, moved to CO, and drove a few winters, both of which had severe blizzard/snow storms and this was all in my Camaro. It can be easily done if you get some good tires (I'd suggest BFGoodrich g-Force KDWS tires, I had the KDW's which weren't snow rated but it did awesome).

                    I say go for it. If the car interests you, then do it.

                      Yes I remember reading a thread here about that a long time ago, but I'd say a red v6 mustang convertible is a little more symbolic though and why choose a stang over a firebird

                        wouldnt insurance on a red vert be alot? just keep the maro and get somethin fwd for winter

                          i was moreinterested in it as a project to accomplish. then after that have a spare car or sell it. its a good looking car. its just a head gasket

                            also for insurance i would list as not a primary driven vehicle and it wont be much at all.
